loved the game! great gameplay loop. The only piece of feedback I have is that I wish the Next Fish button in the scaling screen was its own separate button instead of having to find it in the all done menu. but great job, loved the art!
This game is so satisfying and relaxing! The artstyle is my favorite (retro but good-looking). I also noticed how well you managed the progression system; upgrades make the game easier and you feel more powerful after you buy them, but it doesn't take out of the challenge, since you also have to avoid smaller fish in order to get the bigger ones.
I really enjoyed this. The upgrades made me laugh. I'm pleased to be able to say that this game doesn't appear to impose its own controls, making it friendly with profilers (such as JoyToKey) and is therefore highly controller-flexible. It's even possible to imagine playing this in multiplayer form, in which one person does the hook steering, and another does the cutting.
Because of its controller flexibility, this game is eligible to appear on my new site, Conflex Games.
so cute!! I would love a fish inventory system in the full version! This is kind of nitpicky but having a separate section for the fish trivia would've been better. almost didn't notice it under the instructions of the scaling section. overall I loved the game and all the fishies!
It's a great relaxing game with a feeling like from Stardew Valley, and had such adorable graphics! It's a bit laggy when loading larger fish such as the Blue Tuna or the Ocean Sunfish, but I still recommend :)
fun short game, could have great potential with future content/more items to buy & fish to catch
even see it flourish greatly as a mobile/switch title with a little bit of story mode
an small issue when using the browser version is the itchio UI? to the upper right, it blocks the checkmark icon when you need to move to a new fish if you aren’t in fullscreen mode (atleast on my end)
beautiful your game, I really loved it, I don't know if I finished it or bugged it but after the mermaid the turtle came back and I couldn't feed it, it was really fun to play.

Extremely fun! I played the browser version. My only complaint currently is that there needs to be a button dedicated to moving on to the next fish in the scaling section. It was extremely tedious to constantly have to click the X menu and hit "Next Fish" over and over and over.
Game is fun, congratulations. An advice, maybe fisher can sail out to shea when the all upgrades are completed and now fisher can go and hunt bigger fishes!
Edit; now it's working fine. Probably something about refreshing the page? anyways 5 stars!
hey, so for some reason after i fully fed the 1st turtle I couldn't interact with the 2nd one? So now I'm stuck fishing and scaling but without the ability to buy more upgrades. Also the fish and meat things cap at 9, so i keep having to fish then scale then fish then... you get the idea. According to comments it appears to be swell (pun intended) for everyone else tho.
loved the game, it was super fun. if there was anything you could add would maybe add a arrow button or prompt to take you to the next fish so that it can go by faster.
other then that i loved the gameplay of sending my heatseeking fishing rod :)
Sure hope the descaling thing goes better in the full version. My game hangs for seconds whenever anything bigger than a tuna pops up.
Also, why doesn't the game automatically go to the next fish after all scales have been removed (or the remaining ones are damaged)? Why is it a button you have to click, hidden behind another button? And even if it HAS to be a manual action, why not a key like A/D/E?
Scale the Depths is a pretty fun game; it's pretty short, but I enjoy how it is made! Especially the part where you have to get rid of scales. Sorry for lagginess - that's a mistake on my part; which I figured when it was too late.

GOOD game!
The game is fun! I liked the mechanics of the capture. Also, this shark is too voracious :D
amazing game but I wish it was longer/more fish and stuff to buy
We're making a full version of the game you can wishlist on steam right now! We're planning a lot more content, so stay tuned!
Nice game!
amazing game, 10/10 but the steam release date just says '2025' and it's really vague, but not much anyone can do about that :P but the is perfect
This Game Is Something Else I Thought It Was Just A Fishing Game But I Was Wrong
1:Love The Calm Music Its Perfect For This Game
2:The Game Is Not That Long About 30 To 45 Minutes Of Gameplay I Think And Thats Perfect For Me
3:The Fish Got Bigger And Bigger So The Deeper I Went The More Exited I Got
4:Love The Fish Designs And Their Descriptions
5:What Shocked Me Is That You Go From Feeding A Seaturtle To Literal KRAKEN!
Final Rating 8.4/10

i like this game bro, i like it when fish scales have difficulty rendering. For me it's related as developer 😁👍
me like burgur
So in the future even the sea folk gets so degenerate that they rather pay for a prepared fish.
Though at some point the game got stuck and I could sell any fish.
Can't exit from the scaling menu as this is in the way...
go fullscreen
wth. fishes have money now?
might have gotten a little carried away
why am I using a claymore to scale fish bruv😭 (image not related save it if you want)
I got to scale realistic fish in a comical way!
Super satisfying and so much fun, nya~!
it is not letting me finshs cuting or accesepting
:(

У этой игры есть неплохой потенциал если бы были обновления, напомнило dave the diver.
i love the ss.ligma
